Conflict of Interest Policy

Chimorel seeks to avoid conflict with any person. Chimorel is Chimorel Services Inc, a member of The Chimorel Group. Conflict is any situation where there may be, appears to be or has the potential for a conflict of interest. A person is an individual or organization with whom Chimorel is associated.

A conflict of interest exists for Chimorel when a person in a position of trust has private interests that conflict with Chimorel responsibilities. Private interests are competing personal, financial or organizational obligations, responsibilities or interests. Chimorel responsibilities are his/her/its responsibilities to Chimorel.
When a person has a conflict, such person must (1) disclose (such conflict) and (2) refrain (from participation in decisions involving such conflict). Failure to disclose or refrain is a violation of Chimorel’s core principle of Integrity and can result in withdrawal of benefits/services or termination of his/her/its relationship with Chimorel. See Chimorel’s Core Principles for explanation.

Persons associated with Chimorel include the Executive Director, Directors and Officers, resource developers and staff, clients, affiliates and others who work for or with Chimorel, as well as, interested parties to such persons.
