Joining Chimorel's Board
Your Commitment Regarding Time and Learning

Thank you for your time thus far.  Everything we do at Chimorel starts with setting goals. We test these goals against reality, then develop action plans to implement the goals. We are about to give you a brief demonstration of this goal setting process.

Because there is a lot to learn, you might want to set a goal of say 25 hours to learn about Chimorel. Soon we will give you a Learn Quickly option. Later, if you choose the longer option, we will help you develop an Action Plan to achieve your goal. Now let's demonstrate the goal setting process.

Attending Chimorel Board meetings will mean a minimum time commitment of about 24+ hours/year (12 meetings at 1+ hour + 1 hour preparation = 2 hours/meeting). We value this commitment at $50/hr or $1200. You could spend another 25+ hours learning about Chimorel and helping us develop resources. Let's call it 50+ hours/year (50x$50) or $2500+ total value each year.
Your goal at this point could be to "Become a Board member willing to invest 50+ hours ($2500) this year." Can you make this commitment? If you cannot make this commitment, you may not want to focus on Board meetings, which would preclude your becoming a Voting Board member. As you will soon learn, there are many other things you can do.

If you have been invited to join the Board, can enthusiastically support our Core Principles, have registered, confirmed, sent us your bio and are ready to make a time commitment, welcome! You are now a Prospective Board member. If you haven't sent us your bio yet, please email it to Warren at chimorel_director@yahoo.com or call him at 614-885-0000.
